    1. It did what it was supposed to do I am now actually contemplating buying The American Heiress simply because I am dying to know the truth and secrets behind the women with the wrist tattoos. Overall, the story part of this kindle book is too short and the chatter about the book too long.

    2. Very short at 15 pages but it succeeded in what I'm sure it was meant to do: entice me to read more by the author.

    3. The Dutchess' Tattoo is actually a short story and excerpt from the book The American Heiress. The short story is the Dutchess' Tattoo and the excerpt follows after. The short story is a sort of mini mystery quickly solved and not very involved. It's followed by an odd list of "newspaper artcles and character descriptions which were interesting but kind of random. Kind of like a companion piece for the full length novel The American Heiress. I'm guessing as it was a little confusing. This was a [...]

    4. The Duchess's Tatto by Daisy Goodwin. My only complaint is that it's way too short. It's basically a teaser. The American Heiress sounds very interesting and I will probably read it someday.

    5. I know this was just a novella but I thought it had too many holes. Definitely needed a little more fleshing out and I would have enjoyed it more. That being said it was nice to see Cora and Ivo again.

    6. I was really hoping for maybe something more historical about the amorous adventures of the monarchy and the Double Duchess instead it's a cute little story about Cora almost making a huge social blunder but being saved by a kindly tattoo artist um ok not what I was expecting at all. Then it just seemed padded out with old ads from English Lords looking for American ladies with ready cash and the first two chapters of her book 'The American Heiress.' So skip this, read 'The American Heiress' ins [...]

    7. Read it for free off of Google's Play Books. I didn't know what I was getting myself into but I decided to read it. The name of the book caught my attention. I agree that it ended too quickly, but then again, it's just a part from the actual book. I liked what Daisy Goodwin had to say about the story as well as where she got her ideas etc.Looking forward to reading the entire book.

    8. I enjoyed the Duchess's Tattoo as well as the background information and the additional story that is a part of The American Heiress. It's always interesting to get an idea of the progression it takes to write a story and, in this case, the amount of research it takes to write historical fiction. Now I feel ready to read The American Heiress with a deeper Appreciation.

    9. A nice short story that ties in with Daisy Goodwin's novel The American Heiress. More interesting, to me at least, was the background information by Goodwin and the excerpt from the magazine listed the available and titled English gents. Cool stuff.

    10. Should this even count as a book? It's only about 15 pages and just ends. Not happy about that. I read The American Heiress and really liked it so I thought this would be a great addition. It was good, I just wish there was more of it.

    11. A very short scene, which although in an interesting setting and focus (the rich socialites coming to the UK from America in pursuit of a title) wasn't much of a story in and of itself. This is a teaser for a book which I'm sure is much better.

    12. The Dutchess' Tattoo is actually a short story and excerpt from the book The American Heiress. I actually thought this was going to be a short story not an excerpt from another book. Not worth the time it took to download and read considering there was only less than 3 pages to the excerpt.

    13. I didn't realize when I downloaded this that it was an excerpt from The American Heiress. But I liked it and will read the entire book now. Cora Cash sounds like an interesting character with an interesting life.

    14. This little slip of a story did nothing for my Downton Abbey withdrawal. Mostly the download was just ads for another Goodwin book. As for The Dutchess's Tattoo itself, it is a very short story, and not much happens.

    15. I had read this short story before - but not the extra material which accompanied it. The story is a short, but interesting, extra to My Last Duchess/The American Heiress and the extras on the real historical context are insightful too.

    16. Just an excertHowever I t does explain the meaning of the Double Duchesses tattoo. Amazing to me is the low amount of income made by many barons and dukes in England and Scotland. I guess it is not so good to be royal.

    17. It's a short story, an excerpt from The American Heiress. I can't wait to read the book. I loved the short reading I had on this story.

    18. This was a quick historical fiction piecede me question a lot if there were tattoo artists and if high society women did in fact get tattoos? Different but good.

    19. It was a good book, but after read it found out it was an excerpt from The American Heiress, which I probably will buy for Kindle.

    20. I liked the story, but there could have been more to it. If it was longer, it would have been more enjoyable, and the plot could be extended more, but otherwise, a very quick and good read.

    21. More of a teaser than a book but makes you want to read the American Heiress, so I guess it serves its purpose.

    22. I was reading this on my Iphone however I did not get the whole book. So I may have to get the book and finish the story

    23. I don't recall seeing that this was a preview. But after reading what little there was, I guess I might consider getting the book. Maybe
