    About "Sophia James"

    1. Sophia James

Georgette Heyer novels formed Sophia James s reading tastes as a teenager lying in the sun on her grandmother s porch overlooking a wild west coast beach. Her writing life, however, started in Bilbao, Spain After having three wisdom teeth extracted she was given a pile of Mills and Boons filled with strong painkillers she imagined that she could pen one, too. Many drafts later she thinks she has the perfect job writing for Harlequin Historical as well as taking art tours to Europe with her husband who is a painter.Three almost grown up children, lots of pets and house renovations that are never quite finished complete the equation.

    2. The Black Witch of Heathwater, Black Widow, witch, whore Lady Madeleine Randwick is known by many names and none of them good. But who and what is the real Madeleine? When she is taken captive by Laird Alexander Ullyot she will get her chance at happiness. But the road to happiness is a bumpy one when you are the witch that everyone wants to get their hands on. A very interesting read. I liked it a lot.

    3. I have to confess I had my difficulties with this at the start. Especially Madelyne was a character I did not really like at thst time. But she and the whole book improved much during reading it. I loved the middle part when they start falling in love with each other. But the last quarter was a bit strange Mrs James tried to bring too much politics into the ending in my opinionnevertheless I really liked it and would read another Highlander book by Sophia James in a heartbeat

    4. Another day, another historical romance, this time set in Scotland. I liked the accents, the myths, and most of all, the romance. It was well built up and not rushed at all. The characters seemed believable too. Now, I just have to finish one other historical romance, and we'll see where I go from there.

    5. I adore this book. In fact I adore all Ms James' books. Ashblane's Lady draws you in straight away and you feel the pain of these characters. I cannot recommend Sophia James' books more highly. Jane
