    1. I loved this book as teen and still enjoy it as an adult. The story of Alice and Nikos is more a plot device for exploring Delphic legends and the Greek gods than actual plot. And Alice might be a bit too self-aware for a strictly realistic teen, but even with this, it is a charming story that had me eager to know more ancient and modern Greece. I don't understand how this book continues to be so little known and so difficult to find.
