I grew up within a few miles of this residential school, and in Grade 12 (1965-66) the St. Mary's students joined us at Mission Secondary School, so I found it very interesting to read some history, and a lot of personal accounts from former students at various time periods. Despite the proximity of the school to my community and my school, our interactions were non-existent, and even when the students did come to our school, there was no apparent attempt made to help us get to know each other.
