    1. I did not like this book at all. It was way too short so absolutely no character development. The main character, Lexy, had obsession with eating and complained when she had to buy a size 8 dress instead of a 6. She became so obsessed that she did not eat to the point of passing out! What is that? In this time of poor body image and women starving themselves we have to deal with it in fiction as well. How about she makes better food choices instead of starving herself. I don't know it just reall [...]

    2. A quick read. The mystery wasn't much of a mystery. The romance wasn't much of a romance. And reading it didn't waste much of my time,

    3. This is nice. I love the character. The plot is great. Highly recommended. Read the others first. I will read the next one, but I am hoping for a couple more aft5er it.

    4. Let me start off by saying I love the Lexy Baker series. I find the books enjoyable and entertaining. For the most part I liked this book. But I feel at the end Leighann got bored writing the story so she just decided to have Lexy solve the crime leaving you (at least me) thinking What?!? That's it? Plus I thought the *******spoiler alert********>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>proposal was extremely predictable.

    5. This book felt sort of rushed and off to me. You figure out early on who did it, there is little character development, and then what is up with the wearing the wedding and bridesmaids dresses to the rehearsal?! I liked it enough to finish it, but that's not saying much.

    6. Loved it. This one has been one of my favorites in the series. It had some very funny moments and the end was exciting. This one also had my favorite character Sprinkles in it. Hope there will be a new one in this series soon.

    7. Book 4 in this series and it doesn't disappoint. Lexy and the Ladies Detective Club investigate what appears to be murders at the retirement home. If you want a short fun mystery to read, try out this series.

    8. Actually was a 4 1/2 it was a good story I loved the characters I just don't like went the authors put "the end" at the end when it seems to be a series

    9. An okay book about senior citizens and one granddaughter that have to find a murderer in the care center.

    10. The shortest cozy I've read recently and because of that, there was less time to develop the plot. Read it easily in one sitting. Fun

    11. this was a fun summer read, I understand that this is the 4th book in the series, I will probably have to check those out also :-)

    12. "The Ladies' Detective Club"There is a serial killer on the loose in Brook Ridge Falls Retirement Center. Lex's grandmother, Nans, is feared to possibly fall victim. No one believes the deaths are abnormal even if assumed healthy people are dropping dead like flies? But Lexi believes there is a killer and she and her sidekicks will prove it, while wondering what the motive could be. A great, entertaining story. Don't forget to keep the treats beside you as you read! Very well written and intrigu [...]

    13. I enjoy this series. They are quick and quirky. It's so hot outside and the heat makes me ill so I'm reading under the AC.Lexy and her companions make for fun reading while solving the mystery.

    14. HilariousWonderful mystery that earns the he adjective cozy completely. The culprit is easy to identify, but not the where or the why. Cluck! Er, i mean Bravo.

    15. Great little cozy.I love these little books. They are fun, but serious enough to keep you entertained. The recipes are an added bonus.

    16. Waste of timeThis book was not worth the time it took to read. I am sorry but the mystery is too easy too figure out

    17. This has been my least favorite in the Lexy Baker series. It's not a bad read, but Lexy was a bit annoying in this one. It all works out, though.

    18. Nans keeps wanting her granddaughter to get involved in sleuthing when she knows Jack doesn't want her to be.

    19. Kindle Unlimited, Leighann Dobbs writes under Leighann Dobbs, Annie Dobbs and (soon) L.A. Dobbs but her real name not sure if she writes under that one is Lee Dobbins, Hazel Martin Mysteries only one I found for this type with her, she has not made sure that terms used match the British terms as well as in other areas for that period of architecture and assorted styles. The Notch Cozy Mystery Series 5 out as of this writing and the Blackbore Sisters Cozy Mysteries are not on Kindle Unlimited [...]

    20. Another fun readThe lady detectives are at it again. One would think the cops in this little town have everyone on the payroll. But it is another fast fun read. And another fun recipe at the end. Enjoy.

    21. I really didn't care for this book. Lexy the main character is very insecure, self-absorbed and vain. I really do not like weak female characters so I had a hard time really liking her. The story just didn't have enough substance for me, it felt very basic, almost as if the writer was following a how to write a novel book and just putting in ideas. I know it's part of a series and I wouldn't read another one unless it was free. There is a murder right away and she wants to investigate with her G [...]

    22. This was a frothy, lightweight type murder mystery. Lexy Baker IS a baker--owns a bakery. She has a police detective, Jack, and a grandmother weirdly named Nans, who lives in a retirement home, so she has access to the murders which start occurring. Her good friend Cassie is getting married shortly. Now, here is a strange thing--at the wedding rehearsel, the participants all wear the clothes they will be wearing at the wedding. I have never heard of this happening. Perhaps it is some new traditi [...]
