    1. I don't know exactly what is used for the illustrations in this book but they are truly stunning. It looks like they are created from pieces of paper but not just any kind of paper. It could almost be paper mache. Everything letter and illustration is made with this paper. Either rolled and flattened into words or cut into the different shapes. I don't know exactly what it is or how her husband did it, but it is amazing. I am also in awe of the colors that seem to make the people and creatures c [...]

    2. This is the coolest little book. A fun extension activity for children (or even the artistically inclined adult) would be to make collages or pictures to go with the text.eyes ears nose mouth / east west north southoats wheat corn rye / sun moon stars skyfloor table chair bed / yellow green blue redone two three four / roof window chimney doorbird fish bear snake / ocean river puddle lakefork plate knife spoon / morning evening midnight noonearth air fire water / mother father son daughterOr, co [...]

    3. This book is great for all ages especially four year olds because the book groups everything in four's. It talks about what a little girl sees on her journey and what many of us see on a daily basis. The words in the book are also rhyming. One example of the rhyming in the book is " earth, air, fire, water.er, father, son, daughter." You can use this book as for a treasure hunt. Have the children count how many chairs or violins they see in a page.

    4. This was a really cute book, too. I know I've said that about most of the ones that I've read but I really love the artwork in this book. It is refreshing to see something that almost looks 3D in the illustrations. I also think that I could have my class write a poem similar to how this book is written.

    5. phenomimal art!! I really like that her husband illistrated it. The text is creative as well; helps kids look for categories.

    6. A quiet little book, with gorgeous art and nice rhymes. Might be a good bedtime story. It certainly made me feel relaxed. Another that I saved from weeding.

    7. Cut paper collage illustrations are very pretty to look at. Each page set identifies four related words, occasional rhyming.

    8. Very simple text focusing on schemes of four. Illustrations are all in earthy tones. *book from text
