This was the first time I have read this author and wont be the last, I really enjoyed the story and thought the writing was good, I love that when Adam and Amanda meet they knew they had something and even though Amanda was not use to having someone want her or her wanting someone they were honest with each other and said what they felt, I really liked that they did not jump into bed right away and got to know each other. This is a very sweet story and think you should read it.

Author Melanie James did a wonderful and amazing job with her first ever book!The innocent young nurse Amanda, who despises valentine's day, gets blind sided when she receives a patient named Adam. A young officer who was shot in the line of duty. Will he be the one to change her mind on love?I recommend this book! You should grab your copy today. Wow, this was such a great book! The second page into the book and I was already on the edge of my seat with a tear getting ready to fall and talking to myself asking "What!? Why!?" It was a great story that kept you reading to see what would happen next you fell in love with both characters and wanted more when it was at its end cant wait for the next one to come out. definitely a must read you wont be disappointed

Melanie sure knows how to write a good story. She draws you in fast with her amazing characters and story line. Adam and Amanda are both easy to fall in love with. I really loved A Valentine's Surprise. When I started reading it was like i was there watching everything going on. It drew me in and I couldn't put it down. This book is definitely a must read. It's humorous as well as sexy. The storyline draws you in instantly. Adam is a cop who suffered a terrible loss leaving him to look after his younger sister. This also kept him from finding love. Amanda is a nurse whom never had a Valentine or even someone to celebrate the holiday with. Melanie wrote a wonderful fast paced, steamy read.

Great book written by an amazing new author. This book as wonderful humor and then out of no where it turns all hot and steamy. I can't say how much I love this book. I am so hoping to hear more about the police officer Adam and nurse Amanda.

new author Melanie James and her first book hit it out of the ball park and then someis is a truly lovely romance story about a cop(Adam) and a nurse(Amanda) coming together and finding loveth characters show such true feeling and emotions and it comes out in this story.

I really enjoyed this book. Melanie has a way of drawing you into the story. You feel as if you know the the characters intimately. The chemistry between Adam and Amanda is amazing. Their story is one filled with humor, hope and lots of heat!!!

Such a sweet short story of love at first site and discovering Valentines Day. Adam and Amanda have an instant connection, despite the circumstances of their meeting. Amanda really experiences what all the fuss about Valentines Day is all about.

This was a great book. If you want something to read for a day this is the book you want. It's so nice to have a story that is sweet as this and there are no twist or turns. Just a nice change of pace to break up your reading routine. Looking forward to more books by Melanie James.
