    1. ***I was given this book in exchange for an honest review from the author.***This was a super cute novella. I loved Maggie's personality and quirkiness. I loved the prospect of her new job and I LOVED the perspective partner/maybe even romance!? I also loved her background story, it was very real and relateable. It was a great setup for the new series by Michelle Graves, so I'm excited to see where she can take it.And I really just want more scenes with John Cormicko much to ask?

    2. Nice start to a cute serial.Maggie's a journalist but she's can't catch a break. She keeps running into John who is just a grump, hot, but man, he's got an attitude.

    3. Full review up at onceuponabookblog/blog/2015/3 <3Find us on Facebook facebook/onceuponabookblog <3Maggie is an extremely accident prone, instantly loveable mess of a character and I mean that in the best of ways! Maggie (as was intended) was the shining light in this fast fun read, her almost constant barrage of bad luck kept her on her toes that's for sure! But never fear, nothing keeps her down for too long!Maggie is fresh from a personal tragedy and with a little (ok a lot) of prodding [...]

    4. Maggie Moore is an accident waiting to happen. After suffering a devastating loss, she moves back home, giving up a great position writing about what she truly loves. After a period of time, her mother decided that Maggie needs to find a job and move out. She applies for a job at a local paper writing about sports. When the boss figures out that she's been fibbing about her sports knowledge, he decides to give her another chance, writing about sports that very few have ever heard of. She decides [...]

    5. Most writers cannot cross over genres and the book be a worthy read. Michelle Graves is one of the few who can and made me want more. The ship has sunk has got to be a metaphor for Maggie Moore being unsinkable. You just can't keep a clumsy girl down. Not with a tire iron, a moody male, a to perky southern mama, an ink pen that fights back, or every other known mishap that can happen to a girl. Michelle wrote it best as Maggie has an unrelenting case of Murphy's Law.To be a short book this had so [...]

    6. As someone who loves journalism and the art of writing, whenever I read about books that are to do with this topic, I get all excited to read it and sometimes they aren't that great but other times they turn out to be awesome reads and Book #1 in the Misadventures of Maggie Moore by Michelle Graves turned out to be one of those awesome reads. So awesome, that I immediately after finishing went to see if she had written any other books and to see when the next one of this series is out. Maggie Mo [...]

    7. My Rating:4.5Favorite Quotes:“Why they had to wand me, I wasn’t sure. And not to complain, but I didn’t think the metal detector want was meant to bonk the passengers in the head. I was pretty sure the TSA agent had been drinking.”“Righteous indignation didn’t have the same effect when the person raining down the hurt was only wearing one shoe. Why couldn’t I come up with quick comebacks? I was a writer for crying out loud!”“For all I knew his rudeness was some sort of rare dis [...]

    8. Lots of laughs, a few stitches, and lots of chemistryOMG I loved this story!!! While I'm not accident prone like our heroine, nor have I ever suffered such as loss, it was so easy to connect with her. I read late into several nights until my kindle smacked me in the face!! And now a bit about the storyMaggie's mom has given her a deadline find a job and move out by the end of the month. Her plan had been to be the next Martha Stewart, but a tragic accident put her plans on hold. Now she has a jo [...]

    9. Hilarious and sweet! Poor Maggie has experienced a death in the family. Her father has passed away. It is now her and her mother against the world but they must continue living. Maggie gets a new job as a journalist but completely botches her first assignment. She is convinced that fate hates her. She is constantly in the middle of bad luckybe bad luck is her middle name. She is given a second chance and given another assignment but keeps running into John, the asshat. By the end of the story yo [...]

    10. The hilarious short story of Maggie Moore (the klutz) and an exceedingly rude stranger that may have a larger spot in her life as time goes on?First off, I LOVED Maggie. While I am horribly klutzy myself, she takes it to a whole other level! The best part was when she chewed on a pen and ink exploded all over her face. Maggie has recently graduated college with a strange combination of journalism and interior design. She wants to write for the life and style section, but there is only one spot v [...]

    12. What a fun book! I didn't want it to end. Despite the over use of some key phrases and wordings, I rather enjoyed The Ship Has Sunk and look forward to the next part of the story. You only briefly get to know Maggie Moore, but you find out she's quite prone to accidents, big and small and not entirely sure of herself or her place in the world. She's young and with time comes knowledge, but will that be enough? I suppose we'll just have to read on to find out more! My first impression is that the [...]

    13. I was given an ARC copy of this book for an honest review The Ship has SunkThe Trouble with PartnersThe Fear of Falling FlatI'm not going to ruin these stories with spoilers you can read this reviewI can honestly say that I LOVED the stories. Maggie is a journalist wanting to write and work. And who has trouble not hurting herself by being clumsy. John is a photographer and is suffering from PTSD. They are thrown together more than once and now they have to work together. Their relationship is l [...]

    14. Poor Maggie, she just can't see to catch a break! An aspiring design journalist finds herself scrambling for any writing job after an ultimatum from her Mom. She lands a job at a newspaper, but not in the field she knows. Now, she must write about obscure sports to keep her job, starting with Dragon Boat Races. 15. Twenty-one-year-old Maggie has just graduated college and suffered a recent family loss. In an effort to move on with her life she takes a job at an established Atlanta-based journal. On her second assignment (the first didn't go so well), Maggie is sent to the beautiful Pacific Northwest (yes, I live here so I know it's beautiful) to cover an event. Throughout the story she is constantly thrown into the path of a handsome, brooding man who ends up being more connected to Maggie than she realize [...]

    17. This is such a relatable book in so many ways. Any one of us that has had an ink pen explode on us or fallen walking up stairs- will get it. The Ship has Sunk is a super short read about Maggie and her silly idea to fake her way through sports journalism after the death of her father. She has a Southern mom anyone who knows Southern mammas will know that is a book waiting to happen right there!Maggie is a lovable quirky character and I can't wait to read more about her story!!~Dowie

    18. The ship has Sunk is a lovely way to introduce us to Maggie Moore.Maggie is a journalist & desperately wants to work in the Life & Style section of a newspaper. Sadly things never seem to go right for her & she ends up on the Sports section, with hilarious results.Maggie is a sweet, loveable girl, she is a bit clumsy at times, but it is a cute quirk.I really enjoyed reading this, it made me laugh a lot.I am so looking forward to reading more about Maggie Moore.

    19. I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. I loved Maggie and her clumsiness. Her encounters with Mr Grumpy Mcgrump pants, and other fun names she called him, were very enjoyable. This was a quick fun read with great characters, and an interesting storyline. It was well written and I look forward tor reading the next book in the series.

    20. I Love Maggie Moore!! She is such a fun character, but boy does she have some bad luck!! Though her bad luck makes the story quirky and funny! And i just want to smack John sometimes, on the other hand you can sense more underneath that rough exterior I can't wait to read where Maggie's Misadventures lead to next

    21. I recieved a copy for an honest review.I really enjoyed this first story in the series! Maggie has a lot of bad luck! But her bad luck leads her to meet John. 23. loved it!This was actually kind of inspiring and made me want to know about dragon boat races! This was a bit of a fun read! I can not wait to read more of Maggie Moore and her adventures! The chemistry between her and "the Guy" was also interesting!

    24. This is a different genre for Ms. Graves and she jumps right in with a lovely short. Maggie Moore is a walking accident that cannot write about football, but lands a job all the same. I enjoyed this first in a new series and can't wait to read more!
