    1. Has anybody here ever read a "Choose Your Own Adventure" book? I don't know about you, but I love to choose my own path in a book. In the twisted Journeys series, you get to do that too--in graphic novel form! The first one is "Captured by Pirates" and your choices could lead you to a deserted island, back home, or even flogged! It's all up to you.I really like the idea of this series, I think it will go over well with kids and could be used with reluctant readers. My one complaint is that I fee [...]

    2. This was a combination of the classic Choose Your Own Adventure and a graphic novel. It has the same benefits and drawbacks of Choose Your Own Adventure: being able to choose where the story goes is cool, but there's no depth to anything in the book either. Recommended for kids who hate sitting still and reading, or whoever likes the Flip-O-Rama parts in the Captain Underpants but is ok with something more serious.

    3. Miss the Choose Your Own Adventure books from the 70's and 80's? Well this uses the same interactive format for readers, but is told in graphic novel form. The pictures are bright and fun, showing the zombie pirates in all their gory glory. The best part is that the book can be read multiple times with different endings. Great for reluctant readers or older struggling readers!

    4. I love Graphic Novels! I love Choose your own adventure! Mix the two and you have a new favorite series for Molly. Great read will really attract the reluctant reader! It has a page of text and a page of GN and this will attract a parent trying to get their kids to read more chapter. Grades 3+

    5. The pick-your-own-path style got slightly tiring, and the author perceived the character to be one thing and I perceived the character to be another, which bothered me for some reason. I generally like this style, as the Rollercoaster Tycoon Books were very good, but this just didn't do it for me.

    6. I could see how kids might enjoy this books (I always loved Choose Your Own Adventure books), but I wasn't impressed with this one.
