    1. The 2017 Young Explorer’s Adventure Guide is a solid collection of entertaining science fiction and fantasy stories for middle graders. Actually, it’s a good one for all ages. The stories were all well-chosen. While they vary in length, none are so long that the reader’s attention will start to wonder. The overall theme really seems to be that young women can be brave, bold, crafty heroes, given how often that type of character pops up. There is also a few stories where someone who is diff [...]

    2. Originally reviewed at West Coast Book Reviews. It's been almost 40 years since I received the best piece of advice a Dad could give his daughter though I didn't know it at the time. My Dad told me not to limit myself to the decisions he made. (I'm not sure why, but that day I wanted to be a loan manager just like him.) He said I could do whatever I wanted with my life. At the time I was disappointed and thought it to mean he didn't wan't me to be like him. Through the years, I've come to feel th [...]

    3. This was the 3rd edition of the book that I backed on Kickstarter. My daughter, who was 8 at the time, likes the books so much that she gave me $10 of her own money to add into the money we gave on kickstarter. It's a great collection of stories - a lot of fun and interesting reading. A lot of the main characters are female or POC also, and it's great to see SF stories that my daughter can better relate to.Highly recommended!

    4. Admittedly I'm a bit biased, since I have a story in this anthology. However, I thoroughly enjoyed all the stories in the volume. Loads of intriguing tales and adventures that will have a wide appeal to readers of all ages and genders, covering a wide variety of subgenres of science fiction. I highly recommend this anthology for everyone who enjoys diverse stories of SF adventure and exploration.

    5. The book is a diverse collection of stories about what life might be in the future. Will they have an alien for a best friend? What will future technology be like? How do your parents in the future give you a time out? The stories are great! There is imagination and humor in these stories. The book isn't filled with technical jargon. It is an excellent action guide!Disclaimer: I received an arc of this book free from the author/publisher from Net-galley. I was not obliged to write a favorable re [...]
