    1. If I could give this book negative stars, I would. It includes a completely unfair assessment of my introduction to American history class, based on what I can only assume is a cursory reading of my on-line syllabus. Somehow, the author concludes from the fact that I actually acknowledge the existence of Native American history that I do not believe in truth, etc. etc. It would be funny if it weren't such a sad commentary on our present public discourse.


    2. I've been a big fan of South Park for years - their brand of irreverent foul-mouthed humor hits a nerve with me I guess. However, I never really thought of that cartoon as a particularly pointed political satire. Maybe because I generally agreed with most of what they had to say, so it did not seem that they were going out on a limb with their message.     3. An up and down workI will admit, the title of South Park Conservatives: The Revolt Against Liberal Media Bias got my attention and it was the reason that I picked it up. For the record, I am not a big fan of South Park, but I could see where he might go with it based on my limited exposure to the series (I've seen maybe 10 episodes of the show).I was not disappointed with the "South Park" section of the book.     4. couldn't get into this one. at first i was put off that the author kept citing blogs, but i guess if your thesis states that the popular news media is biased, you can't cite the popular news media to make your entire argument. tricky, that one. i might pick it up again later, though.
