    1. I picked this book up thinking it looked like it could be good or it could be one of those boring books they seemed to love in the 60's that never really goes anywhere. Happily, it did turn out to be a keeper! This book has a great plot and I really enjoyed not knowing what to expect next. The author kept it interesting and developed quite a few wonderful characters. I really liked how he would set up one little situation and get you all comfortable and the next thing you know that is all gone a [...]


    2. I read this in an English translation and found it to be pretty good. Less of a young adult book than some of the other stuff I've read and enjoyed by Fon Eisen. Set in the Arabic world and the deserts of North Africa, and Spain.


    3. One of my all-time favorites, and a Christmas present to boot! I first read this in Jr High; it's stayed with me ever since.
