    1. The best thing about this edition is that it is from 2009 and therefore most of the information remains current and useful. It does a nice, even-handed job of presenting the facts and the various ways socioloigists identify the issues and causes. They even present how liberal,s conservatives and fringe folk perceive the issue politically.



    2. I read the entire book for my Social Problems class. This book was easy to read, was laid out nicely, and had a lot of valuable information. There are a few typos and it is a little outdated now.
